Submission Terms
Version 2026-10-07 · Effective October 7, 2026
The short version
- You must be 18 or older, and you must own or control every right in what you send us, including anything an AI tool made for you.
- You keep ownership. You give Botflix a free, non-exclusive permission to stream it on our channels, keep it in our archive, and use clips, your title, artist name and artwork to promote it.
- There's no payment, and no promise we'll pick it or play it. We can decline or pull anything, any time.
- Want it gone? Email us and we'll take it out of future airings within 14 days.
- We use your name, email and links to review your submission, contact you and credit you. We never sell them.
This summary is here to help. The full terms below are what you agree to.
These Submission Terms are an agreement between you and JS Films LLC, the company that runs Botflix TV, Botflix Records and the Botflix network ("Botflix", "we", "us"). They apply to everything you send to Botflix Records through botflix.tv/submit, including your music, music videos, lyrics, artwork and the information you give us (together, your "Submission"). You agree to these terms by ticking the agreement box and sending the form. If you submit for a band, label or other group, you confirm you're authorized to agree for all of them.
1. Who can submit
You must be at least 18 years old. Don't submit for someone else unless you're authorized to act for them.
2. What Botflix does with submissions
We review submissions. If we select yours, we may:
- stream and broadcast it on our 24/7 live channels, including BOTFLIX TV, Botflix Radioo and Botflix Records, and on other Botflix channels and websites;
- carry those channels on YouTube and other streaming, video and social platforms, which may mean the platforms keep recordings of our broadcasts;
- post it, or parts of it, on Botflix social media accounts;
- use short excerpts and clips in trailers, promos and ads for Botflix.
Our channels and posts may carry ads or sponsor messages and may earn money. You aren't entitled to a share of that revenue.
3. You keep ownership
You keep all ownership of your Submission. Nothing in these terms transfers your copyright or other rights to us. The permission you give us is non-exclusive, so you can keep releasing, selling and licensing your work anywhere else.
4. The permission (license) you give Botflix
You grant JS Films LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- reproduce, stream, broadcast, publicly perform, display, transmit and archive your Submission, in whole or in part, on any Botflix channel, website, app or account and on the third-party platforms that carry them;
- make technical changes needed to air it, such as encoding, resizing, cropping or letterboxing to fit the screen, adjusting volume, and adding on-screen credits, Botflix branding and channel graphics, without changing the creative content of your work;
- use excerpts and clips, your titles, your artist name, the artwork or thumbnails, and any description you give us, to credit and promote your Submission and Botflix.
We may let our hosting, streaming and platform providers handle your Submission only as needed to do these things. The license lasts for as long as your Submission is in rotation or otherwise available on Botflix, and ends for future airings when we remove it under Section 8. Promos and posts made before removal, and recordings of past broadcasts, may stay up.
When we air your Submission, we'll try to credit you using the artist name you give us. An occasional missing or wrong credit isn't a breach of these terms, but tell us and we'll fix it.
5. Your promises about rights
You promise that:
- you own or control all the rights needed to grant this license, including in the composition (music and lyrics), the master recording, vocals, visuals and footage, artwork, and any samples;
- if your Submission includes anyone's name, voice, likeness or performance, you have their permission (and a parent or guardian's written consent for anyone under 18), and there are no voice clones or look-alikes of real people without their written permission;
- if you used AI tools, you created the outputs under that tool's terms and those terms allow you to use them commercially and license them to us, for example through a paid plan where the tool requires one;
- your Submission doesn't infringe or violate anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights, and isn't defamatory;
- Botflix won't owe anyone money for airing your Submission as these terms allow. That includes collaborators, sample owners, AI tool providers and anyone else who contributed. Paying them is up to you;
- you won't make or allow copyright claims, Content ID claims or takedown requests against uses allowed by these terms. If your Submission is registered with a content-identification service, tell us when you submit (we may decline it), and if a claim hits one of our streams or posts, you'll get it released promptly.
6. Content requirements
Botflix Records is for robot-themed music and music videos made with AI. Your Submission must be about, feature or star robots, bots, androids or AI machines, and it must be made or assisted by AI tools. Tell us honestly how you made it. Your Submission must not contain:
- sexual content of any kind involving minors (we report it to the authorities);
- pornography or sexually explicit material;
- hate speech, harassment, or attacks on people based on who they are;
- graphic violence or gore, or encouragement of violence, self-harm or illegal activity;
- misleading deepfakes, impersonation, or false statements about real people;
- malware, phishing, or links to anything harmful.
Botflix airs around the clock to a general audience, so family-friendly content is preferred.
7. No payment, no guarantee
Submitting is free. You won't receive any payment, royalty or other compensation for your Submission or our use of it unless we agree to it separately in writing, signed by Botflix. We don't have to review, reply to, select, air or keep airing any Submission. We decide what airs, when and how often. We may decline or remove any Submission at any time, for any reason or no reason.
Botflix makes lots of robot-themed content, and other people send us ideas too. Nothing in these terms stops us from creating or airing work that's similar to yours, as long as we don't copy your Submission beyond what these terms allow.
8. Removal requests
You can ask us to stop airing your Submission at any time. Email [email protected] with the subject "Removal request", using the email address you submitted with if you can. Include your reference number (it starts with BFR-) or your artist name and the title. Within 14 days, we'll take it out of future airings and stop making new promos with it. As Section 4 says, promos and posts made before your request, and recordings of past broadcasts, may stay up.
9. Your information
When you submit, we collect what you put in the form: your artist name, email, titles, links, genre, AI tools used, description and socials. We also keep a record that you agreed to these terms, which terms version you agreed to, and when. Our systems automatically record the country you submitted from, the type of browser you used, and a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address, which we use to stop spam.
We use this information to review your Submission, contact you about it, credit you when it airs, keep a record of your permission, and prevent abuse. It's stored with our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and sent by email to the Botflix team. We don't sell it or share it with advertisers. We share it only with service providers that help us run Botflix, when the law requires it, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business. Your artist name, titles and socials may appear publicly as credits. Your email never will.
To see, correct or delete your information, email [email protected]. We may keep a record of your agreement and license for as long as we need it to show we had permission. For more, see our privacy policy.
10. If something goes wrong because of your Submission (indemnity)
You'll indemnify and hold harmless JS Films LLC and its owners, employees, contractors and partners from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your breach of these terms, including any of your promises in Section 5, or from a claim that your Submission infringes or violates someone else's rights.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, Botflix provides the submission process and its channels "as is". JS Films LLC won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue, arising from your Submission or these terms. Our total liability to you for any claim related to your Submission or these terms is limited to US$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
12. Governing law and general terms
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
We may update these terms for future submissions. The version you agreed to, recorded with your Submission, continues to apply to that Submission. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest stays in effect. These terms, together with any separate written agreement signed by Botflix, are the entire agreement about your Submission. These terms don't create a partnership, employment or agency relationship. We can transfer this agreement as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.
